Hi there, I’m George.

Born in London, bred for the hills. That’s me. I’m as happy with a marker pen or stylus and tablet as I am hanging off a mountain with an ice axe and a length of rope.

Sometimes I get to combine the two, which is a bit of a treat – illustrating books about mountaineering and the outdoors is a real privilege.

I attended the legendary St Martins School of Art, and have worked
in the advertising, marketing, event and publishing industries
 since the mid-70s.

I’ve worked with dozens of agencies, large and small, both employed
and freelance, on a vast range of projects for familiar brands and blue chip companies.

I can work solo or within a creative team, producing everything from visual concepts to full colour presentations, using traditional markers, digital methods or a combination of the two. Whatever I do, I do it passionately, instinctively and with a real commercial edge. My work isn’t just a creative resource, it sells ideas and wins business for agencies too.

If there's a project I can help with, please get in touch.

“I’ve worked with George for almost 30 years. Every storyboard, every illustration he has produced for me has enhanced the project and helped bring it to life. He is an invaluable member of our production team who understands commercial illustration better than anyone. He’s a chameleon with an instinctive feel for a project and a practical eye on maximising the impact of the job, within what are frankly sometimes crazy timescales. If you need to visualise anything, in any style, George is your man.”
